welcome…

Whether intentionally or unintentionally, you’ve officially found my website. I’m glad you’re here! I enjoy creating things with words. I hope you enjoy reading them. Rather than forcing you to wander the site aimlessly, you’ll find below a few great places to start. Dear Death is my favorite article at the moment CLICK HERE to check it out. Otherwise, I’ll be posting new content regularly — I hope you find it helpful and encouraging!

one: what to expect…

I love writing about theology, technology, and other things that end in -ology. I’ve never written about zoology but perhaps I should give it a try. This site, in many ways, is my virtual playground. It’s a place to think in public and talk about interesting things. Throughout the week I work with The Salt Company on the campus of Iowa State University so many of my thoughts are intended to help students find joy in Jesus and follow him faithfully in that context. If you’re a student, “Welcome,” I hope the articles the resources you find here give courage, and direction to love Jesus well in the places he’s called you.

One of the best ways to stay connected is by having articles delivered directly to your inbox. I’ll typically send out about one article a week. Sign up below to get free access to 50 Books That Changed My Life.

two: stay connected…

three: thanks…

Blogs are interesting. In one sense they can be excellent resources and helpful tools (I read and share them all the time). On the other hand, they are often unreviewed and self-published. It’s no surprise then that some blogs are dispensable at best and destructive at worst — not everything you read online is helpful.

That said, I want to say, “Thank you,” for taking the time to read some of what I’ve written. My hope is that the things you find here make Jesus look more and more beautiful in your life and lead you to joyful worship of him (Philippians 2:9-11). If you’re helped by something you read, please share it with your sphere of influence. Thanks!
